This past summer, a group from Troop 1000 explored the Boundary Waters by canoe.
Welcome to Boy Scouts and Troop 1000! We are sure that your boy will enjoy himself, and learn some important lessons along the way. For 100 years, since the Boy Scouts of America were formed, this has been the premier character-building program in the United States. There are many dry statistics – but one thing we have learned stands out. With only one exception, every astronaut that walked on the moon was an Scout. We do not promise your son will walk on the moon – but we do promise he will learn the same lessons the men who did walk on the moon learned.
